Vintage Automatic is an unexpected English-American rock n' roll monster created right in the heart of Los Angeles. Despite their birth place, the band could be described as anything but angelic with fire, passion and notes of sex strung within each of their tunes. Their upcoming album, “Eklektic Elektrik” demonstrates an eclectic style ranging from (punk/uk garage/ 60s, 70s garage rock/ surf rock). They're not also afraid to dabble in psychedelia and a bit of reggae. They definitely don't lack inspiration as their most influential bands not only span from America and UK (The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Cream, Kinks, Pink Floyd, Queen, Arctic Monkeys, Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Strokes, Red Hot Chili Peppers) but include African psychedelic rock n roll and afro beats from Nigeria and Zambia's zamrock scene as well (Question Mark, the Peace, Ofeg, Witches, etc.).
Guitarist, singer, and song writer, Nzephany “The Zephyr” Uzoka, who's Nigerian and English background builds the foundation for their unique style, found the sharp and chord-biting bassist, Daniel “Dannyboy” Carrillo. They dragged in the energy-demon and absolute brilliant drummer, Chris “The Beast” Scanlan who made an impression during early studio sessions, and it wasn't long until Daniel's brother, Tomas “Esquire” Carrillo caught the fever and added his undeniable talent for guitar, turning the trio into a powerful quartet. Vintage Automatic was born.
Since then, they've been finishing up their latest album “Eklektic Elektrik”, while redefining rock n' roll, playing gigs all over Los Angeles.
